Everyone here at eTAO Group, LLC is fond of a cruise, typically to the Caribbean but now we’ve branched out to Europe and the Mediterranean. What is clear is that not only is a cruise an economical way to travel since all meals are included, transportation and lodging.
Large Cruise Lines
We’ve traveled on just about every major cruise line including Norwegian, Carnival, Costa, Royal Caribbean, Holland America, Princess and Disney — each offering their own uniqueness and geared toward a specific type of traveler.
Holland American offers real mattresses for beds, rather than two small twins that they push together and you hope is comfortable. Norwegian has many optional restaurants, in addition to the main dining room, which offer upgraded meals for a small fee. Costa is more of an international traveler so if you want to mix cultures, definitely try Costa. Royal Caribbean and Princess are great all around and received great marks from our travel specialists for each of their cruises. And Disney offers childcare for children under 3-years which doesn’t exist on other lines.
You could also choose your cruise based upon itinerary — does it leave from a U.S. city that is easy to get to? For us, New York offers cruising and we could drive or take a train, saving quite a bit of money on flying to another city. Miami has many flights and the cruise port is large so it’s relatively inexpensive to cruise from there and many itineraries are offered. Seasonally cruises will depart from other cities, making it more affordable to locals and others who live within driving distance, though the itineraries are fairly generic.
One of our cruise specialists can help you decide on the right itinerary, cruise line, or both — and the price is always the same as booking it direct! We just add the personal touches and answer your questions.
