Accommodations: Guest rooms and suites are housed within 2 buildings connected by an enclosed skywalk. One overlooks the Atlantic, the other the Condado Lagoon. There are 8 categories to choose from, ranging from standard rooms with city and ocean views, to spa suites with oversized whirlpools and family suites with master bedrooms. All have private balconies. Amenities include air-conditioning, TV with in-room movies, phone with voicemail and data port, high-speed internet access, in-room safe, walk-in closet, refrigerator, coffee maker, and LXR’s own brand of deluxe bath products. TIP: Laguna Rooms are geared toward business travelers; rooms in the original tower are appointed for leisure travelers.

Strip House, named for the popular New York restaurant, specializes in seafood and choice cuts charred to perfection, served in a sophisticated, all-red interior. The Eight Noodle Bar serves Asian fare. There’s a Tony Roma, serving the ribs that made the chain famous. A Starbucks provides coffee and pastries. In-room dining is available from 6:00am-11:00pm. The casino occupies a sprawling 25,000 square feet, making it the second largest on the island. Live salsa music is performed nightly in the lounge.

There are 2 lighted tennis courts alongside the lagoon, and a fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment, as well as a sauna and steam room. Massages are provided poolside. Nearby activities include hiking, horseback riding, and a variety of water sports. Five minutes away, you’ll find the narrow cobblestone streets, colorful colonial buildings, and the ruins of El Morro Fortress in historic Old San Juan. El Yunque rainforest is less than an hour away.
