Accommodations: The guest rooms and suites are housed within an all-white 11-story building, and the all-suite Club Tower. A treasure trove of artwork by Mexican painter Manuel Lepe adorns the walls. Amenities include air-conditioning, 1 king or 2 double beds, satellite TV, DVD player, mini-bar, in-room safe, hairdryer, and iron/ironing board. TIP: Corner rooms have the largest balconies. Guest staying in suites enjoy upgraded amenities. Junior suites have furnished balconies with Jacuzzis. Room service is available 24 hours a day.
Dining & Entertainment: World Cafe is a buffet-style restaurant, open for all meals and serving a variety of international cuisine, with themed dinners throughout the week. El Patio boasts 3 different dining rooms, each with a different style of Mexican décor. The Seaside Grill serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner on a terrace overlooking the ocean. Oceana specializes in seafood, serves light fare in the afternoon, and dinner in the evening. Portofino is a dinner-only restaurant serving gourmet Italian cuisine. For an extra special evening, reserve a romantic dinner for two on the beach. Dress codes vary between restaurants, but no reservations are required. Drinks are served at 4 bars. Live shows, themed parties, and local cultural exhibitions provide entertainment after dark.
Recreation: Sunbathe comfortably poolside and on the beach, thanks to lounge chairs and thatched-roof shades. Cool off with a drink at the swim-up bar. Indulge at the spa with a full menu of treatments and services designed to relax and rejuvenate. Active guests can join in a variety of land and water-based sports that include beach and pool volleyball, soccer, tennis, water polo, kayaking, snorkeling, rock climbing, jungle hiking, and horseback riding. The Explorer Club for Kids is a fully supervised program that entertains travelers ages 3-12 with varying daily programs based on science, nature, and exploration.
