Accommodations: Guest rooms and suites are housed within the low-rise wings of the horseshoe shaped resort. There are 216 standard rooms, 31 family rooms, and 7 honeymoon suites. Standard rooms have 2 double beds; family rooms have a king-sized bed and kids areas with bunk and trundle beds. Honeymoon suites have king-sized beds and in-room Jacuzzis. All have balconies. Amenities include air-conditioning, cable TV, telephone, in-room safe, hairdryer, and iron/ironing board. TIP: Rooms in the 24-27 series offer the best views of the ocean.
Dining & Entertainment: For casual dining, there is the Palapa Restaurant, open for all meals and serving a buffet spread of international fare, and the Tutuch snack bar, a beachside spot serving lunch and informal meals during the day. For fine dining, there is La Piazza, an specializing in Italian cuisine; San Soucis is a Mexican restaurant with a menu that changes every night; and Fujiyama, serving authentic Japanese dishes. Drinks are poured at 5 bars, and there is even a kids menu of fun, nonalcoholic drinks. Nightly stage shows and a disco provide after-dark entertainment.
Recreation: Mini-palapas on the beach provide a shady place to sit and cool off after some much needed time in the sun, whether lounging, swimming, or enjoying a variety of water sports that include kayaking, windsurfing, and boogie boarding. There are 3 pools, including a kids' aquapark complete with a pirate ship, waterfalls, and 9 waterslides. Active guests will enjoy time at the fitness center and on the 2 clay tennis courts. Games of soccer, volleyball, and basketball are organized by the staff. The spa offers an extensive menu of therapeutic treatments and massages for relaxation and rejuvenation.
