Day #1 Overnight Flight -
Day #2 Arrive Helsinki, Finland - Tour Begins - Your tour begins today in Helsinki. Join your fellow travelers for a delightful welcome dinner.
Day #3 Helsinki - Tallinn, Estonia - Helsinki - All aboard! A hydrofoil whisks you across the sea to Tallinn (UNESCO), Estonia’s historic capital. A local expert provides a leisurely-paced walking tour of the old town with cobblestone streets, historical buildings and breathtaking vistas. You’ll view the Song Festival grounds and the 18th century Kadriorg Palace and Park. Return to Helsinki.
Day #4 Helsinki - Baltic Mini-Cruise - Enjoy a panoramic tour of Helsinki featuring Market Square, Presidential Palace, City Hall, Parliament, Finlandia Hall, Opera House, Sibelius Monument and the “Rock Church.” Afterwards, enjoy leisure time. Late afternoon, board the Silja Line for an overnight mini-cruise and journey to Sweden, crossing the Aland Islands, an archipelago of over 6,500 islands. Your ship offers nightclubs, casino, exercise room, duty-free shopping, cinemas and a swimming pool. All cabins feature private bathroom and two lower beds.
Day #5 Stockholm - Enjoy a tour of Stockholm's city sights. Visit City Hall, stroll through the Gamla Stan (Old Town) and see the Riddarholm Church, the Royal Palace and the Parliament. Visit the Vasa Ship Museum and learn about its shocking maiden voyage. Tonight, enjoy dinner in the old town at Fem Sma Hus, five connected timber-framed houses from the 17th century.
Day #6 Stockholm - Today is at leisure to enjoy Stockholm.
Day #7 Stockholm - Oslo, Norway - Behold the picturesque landscape en route to the Norwegian border. Arrive in Oslo, Scandinavia’s smallest capital city, filled with beautiful green parks, architecture and inlet islands.
Day #8 Oslo - A guided tour of Oslo features the Viking Ship Museum’s thousand-year-old Viking ships. Continue along Karl Johan Street and view the Royal Palace and City Hall. Visit the Vigeland Park, home to a collection of statues and sculptures. Later, enjoy leisure time.
Day #9 Oslo - Lillehammer - Loen - Travel north to the county’s largest lake, Lake Mjosa. Before a panoramic view of the 1994 Winter Olympic site of Lillehammer, stop at the 17th century Annexstad Farm. Meet the owner, whose family has owned the farm for generations, and get a glimpse of farm life. Continue through Norway’s Gudbrandsdal Valley to the spectacular fjord region. Enjoy fjord-view rooms while in Loen, nestled on the banks of the North Fjord.
Day #10 Loen - Geirangerfjord - Loen - Spend the day enchanted by the dramatic landscape of the fjord region of Norway. Journey north to Hellesylt and embark on a fjord cruise. Traverse a majestic fjord, known as the Geirangerfjord.
Day #11 Loen - Stalheim - Visit the amazing Briksdal Glacier, one of Norway’s most beautiful glaciers. Continue south across the mighty Sognefjord, the largest and deepest of Norway's fjords. Overnight in the renowned Stalheim Hotel, with a view that has inspired generations of artists.
Day #12 Stalheim - “Norway in a Nutshell” - Bergen - Embark on a two-hour fjord cruise on the Naeroy fjords, the most narrow and spectacular branch of the Sognefjord. Next, journey along the renowned Flam Railway, witnessing some of the world’s most scenic wilderness as you ascend 3,000 feet - passing mighty waterfalls, towering mountains and amazing valleys. End your day in Bergen, the “Gateway to the Fjords.”
Day #13 Bergen - Your day is at leisure. Perhaps walk along the harbor front known as the Bryggen, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Your Tour Manager will be on hand to offer suggestions for how to spend your day.
Day #14 Bergen - Copenhagen, Denmark - Take a morning flight* to Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. Accompany a local expert on a city tour and view Denmark’s center of Parliament, known as Christianborg; Amalienborg Palace, the residence of the Danish Royal Family; and the Royal Theater.
Day #15 Copenhagen - The day is yours to shop, visit museums or relax. Tonight, the illuminating fantasy world of Tivoli Gardens** and dinner at the Restaurant Balkonen is the setting for your farewell dinner.
