Resort Description
Retreat to light and airy rooms with marble floors, rich mahogany furniture, and terraces. Rest easy by the reflective pool in the spa and enjoy this blissfully quiet resort.
The natural beauty of the powder-soft sands of world-renowned Grace Bay Beach, along with the Oliver Messel-inspired architecture, help make this resort an upscale standout. And the spa is nearly a destination in and of itself.
The hotel's 72 suites are in 5 buildings with hand-cut coral stone facades. Most of the suites have marble floors, vaulted ceilings, and milled crown molding, and all have air-conditioning, a mini-bar, a TV, and a safe. The luxury rooms have a balcony or terrace with a garden or ocean view, a king-size bed, a full-size sofa bed, a kitchenette, and a full bath. The oceanfront and ocean-view 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom suites have 1 or more balconies, 1 or more king-size beds, a living/dining room area with a queen-size sofa bed, a full kitchen, a hydro-massage tub, and up to 3-1/2 baths. The oceanfront and ocean-view 3-bedroom penthouse suites have 3 balconies, 2 king-size beds, 2 queen-size sofa beds, a full kitchen, a living/dining room area, a hydro-massage tub, and a "water room" with a waterfall shower. The master bath has a Sun Suite with an outdoor shower and hot tub. Penthouse guests have private elevator access, and a butler and a private car are at their disposal. All visitors receive an iPod mini for use during their stay.
Morning starts with a complimentary deluxe continental breakfast. Order it sent to your room or indulge at the resort's signature restaurant, Parallel23. For lunch, restaurant/bar Plunge is casual, open-air, and poolside, and it has international street food and Caribbean-inspired dishes. Choose from the in-water banquette seating, an umbrella table on the deck, and the sunken terrace surrounded by a waterfall and garden. Dinner at Parallel23 is a fusion of Asia, India, Mexico, Morocco, and the Caribbean. Chefs prepare meals in an exhibition kitchen, which has a wood-burning oven, a wok station, and a tandoori oven. The extensive wine list includes boutique wines from around the world. Feast in casual elegance alfresco on the expansive terrace overlooking the gardens.
Spa treatments, such as the "Mother of Pearl" exfoliation, are inspired by the bounty of the islands. Stand-alone treatment rooms are surrounded by water, and 6 white-tented cabanas are in a garden area. Special pampering is standard procedure at the 2 spa suites. If you prefer, arrange for the spa to come to you in the guest quarters. The yoga, Pilates, and meditation studio overlooks a water garden flanked by swaying date palms, and the spa has a fitness center. Relax in the hot tub "island" at the center of the serpentine infinity pool. Tropical sorbets are served poolside in the afternoon. Play tennis and croquet; go kayaking and snorkeling; browse the boutiques at the Palm Place. A championship golf course is nearby, and the Conch Kritters Club keeps kids ages 4-12 entertained.
Gracious living is what this place is all about!
