Accommodations: All rooms and suites have an outdoor furnished balcony or terrace, an entertainment unit with international cable television and a DVD player, a CD player, an in-room safe, thick terry bathrobes, an iron and an ironing board, a hairdryer, and twice daily housekeeping services. Sleep easy in a king-size, double, or sofa bed, and take in an ocean, bay, or tropical landscape view. Stay in a suite set in the uppermost level of the forest. Some of the canopy suites are perched on stilts and have a landscaped patio with an adjoining infinity-edge pool. Larger suites have a living area and a dining room, and the presidential suite's master bedroom opens to a central courtyard leading to a large private swimming pool and a private outdoor shower. The 2- and 3-bedroom residences include an infinity-edge plunge pool and a kitchen.
Dining & Entertainment: An impressive breakfast buffet, continental cuisine, and local specialties are prepared at the casual, all-day Papagayo restaurant. Congo's is a pool bar and grill with local and American fare. Special dinner theme nights include Brazilian Churrascaria and Seafood Fair. The whole family enjoys Italian cuisine, seafood dishes, and nutritionally balanced selections at Di Mare. The open-air and friendly Tico's encourages you to socialize with other guests. It has a bar menu as well as a sushi menu, and a lively Latin trio plays nightly. At the nearby golf club, Caracol has a lunch menu that includes paninis. In the evening, the restaurant transforms into a steakhouse. In-room dining services can deliver to your guest quarters at any time and can arrange a private dinner on the beach.
Recreation: Get an aquatic workout in the main freshwater pool, and take a dip in the 2 smaller pools, each overlooking a different beach: the lively Blanca Bay and the quiet Playa Virador. Children get their own pool. As you sunbathe, enjoy complimentary fruit and bottled-water spritzes. The whirlpool was designed for relaxation. Visit the fitness center for the cardiovascular machines, free weights, and Pilates. Spa therapies use mineral-rich rainforest mud from the Osa Peninsula. Take a cooking class, and learn to dance the salsa. The Arnold Palmer signature golf course has wide fairways with contoured greens, and a tennis complex is nearby. Area recreational diversions include scuba diving, surfing, sailing, fishing, and rafting.
