Day #1 New York City, New York - Tour Begins - “Start spreading the news,” because today you arrive in America’s most exciting metropolis for a getaway filled with shopping, sightseeing, endless entertainment and a single hotel stay at the historic Waldorf Astoria Hotel. World-renowned for over a century, this Art Deco landmark in Manhattan’s midtown is the embodiment of sophisticated elegance and is one of the first “grand hotels” to epitomize the luxury hotel experience.
Day #2 New York City - A local guide leads you on a fascinating tour of the “Big Apple.” You’ll see Greenwich Village, the Wall Street district, Little Italy, Chinatown, the Empire State Building, United Nations, the Chrysler Building, and other time-honored landmarks. A memorable visit to Ground Zero is sure to be a moving moment. Enjoy a 3-course lunch at the world-famous Tavern on the Green in beautiful Central Park, which is beautifully decorated for the holidays. Today’s highlight is Radio City Music Hall* and the incredible Christmas Spectacular featuring the high-kicking Rockettes.
Day #3 New York City - Embark this morning on a voyage to Ellis Island where you’ll see the Statue of Liberty up close! More than 12 million people passed through Ellis Island on journeys of immigration. Since 1886, “Lady Liberty” has welcomed immigrants and visitors to New York Harbor. Created as a token of friendship between the U.S. and France, the Statue of Liberty has become a global symbol of freedom. Spend your afternoon visiting the world-renowned Metropolitan Museum of Art and explore its thought-provoking exhibits and vital collections. The remainder of your day is at leisure for you to take advantage of New York’s fabulous shopping!
Day #4 New York City - This morning, discover “the city that never sleeps” at your own pace during some free time. Your Tour Manager will have plenty of suggestions for great ways to spend your time. Perhaps you’ll opt to take a peek behind the scenes of NBC during breakfast and a bird’s eye view of the city from the top of Rockefeller Center at the Top of the Rock. Or maybe you would enjoy a spree at some of the world’s most famous department stores, including Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s and Saks Fifth Avenue. This afternoon you venture to the exhilarating Times Square to take your seat for an included Broadway show! Tonight, enjoy a delicious dinner as you bid farewell to your fellow passengers!
