Itinerary:
Day #1 Las Vegas. Arrive in Las Vegas and pick up your rental car at the airport.
Day #2 Las Vegas. Full day at leisure. Relax by the pool, see a famous Las Vegas show, or try your luck in the casinos.
Day #3 Las Vegas–Zion National Park–Bryce Canyon National Park Area. This morning, drive to Zion National Park to view its soaring cliffs. Then, on to Bryce Canyon National Park, where erosion has shaped limestone, sandstone, and mudstone into thousands of spires, pinnacles, and mazes—colorful formations called “hoodoos.” Approximately 255 miles/404 km.
Day #4 Bryce Canyon National Park Area. A full day to explore Bryce Canyon and the surrounding area. You may want to visit nearby Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument or Capitol Reef National Park. Explore on foot, mountain bike, or horseback. Make sure to have your camera ready for some amazing photo opportunities.
Day #5 Bryce Canyon National Park Area–Grand Canyon National Park Area. Spend more time this morning exploring the many wonders of Bryce Canyon. Then, make your way to the Grand Canyon, one of the Natural Wonders of the World. Carved through the rocks of the Colorado Plateau over millions of years, the canyon is over a mile deep and 15 miles wide, revealing billions of years of geological history. Approximately 324 miles/521 km.
Day #6 Grand Canyon National Park Area. A full day to continue exploring the Grand Canyon.
Day #7 Grand Canyon National Park Area–Las Vegas. If time permits today, you may want to get your kicks on Route 66. Remnants of America’s Mother Road still exist in the Arizona towns of Williams, Seligman, and Kingman. Return to Las Vegas and drop off your rental car prior to departure. Approximately 215 miles/346 km.
